Book T-Shirts have arrived!

My T-Shirts have arrived! This is the cover of my book. The t-shirts are nice and thin for summer and they arrived very quickly! I am wearing it over the top of my black jumper. The T-shirt is short sleeved. My aim is to be 100% independent of crutches and be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, ready to have a stall at the Melbourne Baby Exhibition on the 15 & 16 of October 2022. I have also discovered there is another in September as well on the 17 & 18, maybe I should aim for this one and if I buy too much stock I will be able to sell it in October as well. The t-shirts will be worn as a uniform by Imants, Beau, Kat and I. Kat will be very interested in investigating all the other stalls, so we have joked she can be our walking advertisement.

This week at my physio appointment I was upgraded from crutches to elbow crutches, which offer less support, meaning I rely more on my legs/feet to walk for me. I just like the safety of the crutches because without warning my ankle or the ball of my left foot will twinge in pain, so I automatically take the weight off it. My physiotherapist was super happy with my progress over the past 2 weeks because I can do my exercises unsupported and walk a few steps without support and added some of my own exercises. Everyday I have been walking on the uneven ground outside at home, I didn't realise how challenging it was.

Despite this progress, I feel so up and down within myself. The blood thinning medication I am on, is really hard to deal with. I have put on a lot of weight in a very short space of time and I feel ordinary/flat within myself. I shared all this with my doctor this week but was told to stick with because it's only for 3 months and that we will just watch and monitor and if it gets worse, I will be sent to a specialist. The blood clot has been so much harder to deal with than the fractures and surgery. I find it funny that pain is easier to deal with than feeling 'off'.

However, I have had the lovely distraction of my book, website and Beau & Kat supporting and helping yet again. I have been so disciplined with working on my book, website and researching on so many things to do with this website and marketing my book and advertising it. I have learned so much in such a short space of time and this project just keeps getting bigger and better all the time. It is moving so fast, I am having trouble keeping up.

In spite of everything, this has been such a blessing! It has brought me so much fulfillment, motivation and focus. I look forward to what new idea and additions that will come my way next.
